| VanderHeyden transferred to Hamline from Concordia University (St. Paul). In high school, VanderHeyden was named all-conference honorable mention for football in 2004 and all-conference in 2005. He was named his team’s defensive MVP and captain in 2005 and the Sun Current Times named him the best linebacker in the Classic Suburban Conference in 2005. He concluded his senior season with 163 tackles, 12 sacks, one blocked punt, one interception, and three blocked extra points. VanderHeyden’s major is management. He is the son of Chris and Mike VanderHeyden. | ||
