SO: Nelson played in 8 games, catching 15 passes for 206 yards. Nelson had 4 catches for 58 yards versus Carleton on Oct. 14 and on Nov. 9 against Augsburg, he caught 5 passes for 53 yards.  Nelson averaged 18.6 yards per kickoff, returning 14 for 261 yards.

FY: Nelson played in 7 games, catching 5 passes for 79 yards and a touchdown. He caught a 33-yard touchdown pass against Carleton on Nov. 12.  He returned 9 kickoffs for 183 yards, including a 36-yard return against Carleton.

In high school, he was all-conference in both football and track in his junior and senior years. Nelson is a management major. He is the son of Brenda and Mike Nelson.
