Denny was a nominee for an outstanding student award in 2007 at Hamline, and participated in the Urban Education Summer Scholars program this past summer. He has been a Wesley Scholars Program participant since his junior year, and has been a Page Scholar and volunteer since 2004. He has also been a tutor at Hancock/Hamline University Collaborative Magnet School for all 3 years at Hamline. Denny is a social studies major with an education minor. He is the son of Mark Broker and Laurel Denny.
