Darryl Sledge makes the move to defensive end after playing linebacker in previous seasons. He is stronger than ever, and coaches believe he will be more of force closer to the line of scrimmage…In 2005, Sledge played in six games, recording 17 tackles (eight solo, nine assists). He forced two fumbles and recovered another. He posted a season-high five tackles with 1.5 tackles for loss against St. John’s on Oct. 1…In 2004, Sledge played in nine games, making 34 tackles (16 solo, 19 assists). He recorded four tackles for loss and was second on the team with three sacks. Sledge forced two fumbles and recovered another…In 2003, Sledge made 14 tackles (four solo, 10 assists). He posted one tackle for loss for three yards. He recorded eight tackles versus St. John’s on Sept. 13…Sledge is a legal studies major. He is the son of Renee Griffin. |
