Brent Nelson grew as a receiver last fall. Coaches look for him to become one of the outstanding receivers in the league this season. He has made great strides in learning the skills of the position…In 2005, Nelson played in seven games, catching five passes for 79 yards and a touchdown. He caught a 33-yard touchdown pass against Carleton on Nov. 12. He returned nine kickoffs for 183 yards, including a 36-yard return against Carleton…Nelson is a management major. He is the son of Michael and Brenda Nelson.
