Ben Dahmes is one of the leaders on the offensive side of the ball. He is a hard-nosed player who can be one of the top running backs in the MIAC…In 2005, Dahmes led the Pipers with 414 rushing yards and scored three touchdowns. He rushed for a season-high 118 yards on 31 carries versus Augsburg on Oct. 15. He ran for 73 yards and scored two touchdowns against Carleton on Nov. 12…In 2004, Dahmes led the Pipers with 528 rushing yards on 144 carries. In the season opener against UM-Morris on Sept. 11, Dahmes ran for 130 yards on 23 carries and a touchdown. He added 124 yards on 34 carries against Gustavus on Sept. 18…In 2003, Dahmes was the Pipers’ leading rusher with 694 yards on 195 attempts.  He also led the Pipers’ with nine touchdowns (eight rushing, one receiving). Dahmes caught 20 passes for 92 yards. He topped 100 yards rushing in four games as a first-year. Dahmes scored five touchdowns in Hamline’s 40-0 win over Macalester on Oct. 11.  He rushed 19 times for 133 yards and four scores, including a career-high 56-yard touchdown scamper.  Dahmes also caught three passes for 50 yards with a 28-yard touchdown catch. For his effort, he was named MIAC Co-Offensive Player of the Week. Dahmes rushed 37 times for career-high 180 yards and a touchdown versus Gustavus on Oct. 25. …Dahmes is a social studies major.  He is the son of Steve and Geri Dahmes.
