Ryan Laube will play his second season at wide receiver after moving from defensive back in 2003. Laube has the speed to stretch defenses. Coaches hope he is more comfortable at the position this season… In 2004, Laube played in all 10 games, starting nine. He caught eight passes for 80 yards. He also returned six kickoffs for 64 yards (10.7 yard average). Laube was second in the MIAC with a 39.4 yards per punt average …In 2003, Laube was second in the MIAC with a 37.2 yards per punt average. In all games, Laube posted a 37.5 yard average.  He also returned 22 kickoffs for 380 yards (17.3 yard average). As a defensive back, Laube made 32 tackles (15 solo, 17 assists) with three fumble recoveries and one fumble forced.  He posted nine tackles against Bethel on Sept. 27…In 2002, Laube was the conference’s fourth-best punter, averaging 35.2 yards per punt.  Laube was 3 of 7 on field goals with a long of 26 yards and 10 of 12 on extra points. He also caught two passes for 28 yards and carried the ball four times for 22 yards… Laube is a physics major.  He is the son of Terry and Cathy Laube.
