Fy: Hughes played in 17 games for the Pipers, starting six. He had ten hits off of 33 at bats, including five RBI’s. He scored three runs and was a perfect 2-2 on stolen base attempts. In high school, Hughes was named to the 2005 Classic Suburban All-Conference Honorable Mention team in both soccer and baseball. He finished his senior baseball season with a .370 batting average after he had 18 RBIs and two home runs. Hughes was also named the Hill-Murray Student of the Year in 2006…Hughes’s major is political science. He is the son of Steve and Karla Hughes. |
