Jr: Bennett started all 39 games for the Pipers.  He led the team in at bats with 123, hits with 45, and runs scored with 29. Bennett had ten doubles, 29 RBI’s, and set the Hamline University school record of homeruns in a season with ten. He was 14-15 in stolen base attempts and ended the season with a .691 slugging percentage.


So: Bennett had a .667 slugging percentage. From 51 hits, he had 10 doubles, seven triples, five home runs, and 43 RBIs. He led the team in nearly every statistical category, including at-bats (135), runs (33), hits (51), doubles (10), triples (7), home runs (5), and RBIs (43).  Bennett led the MIAC in triples, and he was also second in RBIs and total bases (88). Not only was he named to the All-MIAC first team at the conclusion of the season, but also to ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District and All-America third team.


Fy: Bennett started 33 games for the Pipers, earning All-MIAC honorable mention after posting a .316 batting average with eight doubles, three triples, and a home run. He knocked in 12 runs and scored 20. He had 11 multi-hit games, including a 4-for-5 performance with three runs scored and three RBIs against Crown on April 14. He had three base hits in games against Augsburg on April 13 and St. Mary’s on April 17. For his performance, he was named MIAC Player of the Week.


Bennett is a math and physics major. He is the son of Michael and Suzanne Bennett.
