Degree Candidacy

All participants are eligible to earn the certificate regardless of prior academic experience. Participants eligible to earn master level course credit may apply 12 credits from the certificate toward the Master in Public Administration (MPA) degree. Students who choose to continue working toward the MPA degree must have a bachelor’s degree and meet the requirements for admission to the Hamline University Graduate School of Management.

Cost

The tuition is $406.25 per credit; total tuition is $6,500. Students will be billed for 6 credits in Fall 2007 ($2,437.50) and 10 credits in Spring 2008 ($4,062.50). Institutional discounts of $500 per person for multiple participants from the same organization will be available.
  

Application

A completed application for admission to the Certificate in Public Safety Administration includes the following items:

• Completed Application Form
  Application Form (PDF file)
  
  Your completed application form must be sent to the Hamline University Graduate School of Management by mail or fax (651-523-3098).
   
• Letters of Recommendation
  Letters of recommendation from at least 2 supervisors who know your work, and sent directly to the Hamline University Graduate School of Management by mail. 

NOTE: If you are seeking graduate level credit from the Certificate in Public Safety Administration, please arrange to have an official copy of your undergraduate degree (and graduate, if applicable) transcript(s) sent by mail to the Graduate School of Management.
