Nonprofit organizations work for the community. The cause may be human rights, the environment, the arts, human services, philanthropy, healthcare, or education; the mission is to transform people's lives.

The Master in Nonprofit Management (MANM) degree is dedicated to preparing professionals to meet the complex fiscal and operational challenges that are unique to the nonprofit sector. The curriculum content combines the theories of nonprofit management with best practices of effective nonprofit organizations. Students learn skills that help practitioners define goals, adhere to mission, and respond to demands of their multiple stakeholders.

The Faculty

Learn from full- and part-time faculty, who are leaders in their respective fields, through coursework that is directly applicable to the pressing issues faced by today's nonprofit leaders. More on the Faculty>

Program Options

Our programs are designed for working professionals, with evening classes, flexible scheduling, and a choice of locations. Choose the program option — traditional or accelerated — that best fits your schedule and career goals.

Traditional Model

Students on our St. Paul campus select either full or part-time study, have a choice of electives and concentrations, and may pursue cross-sector dual degrees. They take twelve 4-credit courses in 14-week terms, and usually complete the program within 2-4 years.

Cohort Model

Students at our Minneapolis Center participate in a cohort- a group of students who start and complete the program together- and attend classes one night per week. They complete twelve 4-credit courses in 8-week terms over 2 years.
