Cohort Model

*** We are no longer taking applications for the Master in Management degree. We invite you to consider the Hamline Master of Business Administration (MBA).

The Master in Management program is offered in an cohort format at our Minneapolis Center and St. Paul campus. The program is tailored to the schedules of working professionals with evening classes (one night per week), eight-week terms, and online components.

Students in the accelerated program are required to complete 48 academic credits (twelve 4-credit courses). This program is designed to be completed in 2 years. 
 

Cohort Model at the Minneapolis Center

Students in the cohort model at the Minneapolis Center join cohorts, groups of students that start and finish the program together.

Cohort Model at the St. Paul Campus

Students in the cohort model at the St. Paul Campus join cohorts, groups of students that start and move through the required courses togeter. Required courses are:

Students in the cohort model at the St. Paul campus complete three elective courses. Elective courses are available throughout the program during any term, and may be taken in one of four areas of interest, or concentrations: International Management, Conflict Management, Health Care Management, and Human Resource Management. Alternatively, students may select their elective course from the Master in Public Administration and Master in Nonprofit Management curricula.

Students are required to attend at least four of the Hamline Dialogues over the course of their degree studies. More on the Hamline Dialogues Series>

Students may also need to complete additional requirements.

Additional Requirements

    • For students with limited financial management training: Completion of an accounting course prior to taking Private Sector Financial Management (GPA 8031) is highly recommended.
       
    • For students with limited business sector experience: Completion of an Internship (GPA 8494).
