Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) is the leading cause of disability in children and youth across the United States.

Coursework topics include

  • The need for careful collaboration with hospital discharge staff, and the re-integration process back into the school setting.
  • The evaluation process, educational programming and modifications.
  • The necessary collaboration between school, families, medical providers and community resources.
  • Course content is directly aligned with the areas of competence recommended for educators working with learners with Traumatic Brain Injury.
