Designed to help educators meet the challenges of today's schools and society, the Master of Arts in Education program continues Hamline's tradition of relevant curriculum, outstanding faculty, and personal attention. The curriculum builds on your knowledge and prior experience and links theory to practice. Instructional strategies promote reflection, engagement, and collaboration. At the heart of the curriculum is a set of guiding questions that stimulate thought-provoking discussion and professional growth. Elective credits are chosen based on personal and professional interests and needs. A Hamline certificate or license may be applied as electives.

MAEd Alumna wins Milken National Educator Award
Isis Roper, a teacher at Crossroads Elementary in St. Paul, has been granted a National Educator Award from the Milken Family Foundation.
Roper is a graduate of the Masters in Education program in Hamline's Graduate School of Education and a member of the first cohort to earn the Certificate in Urban Teaching from Hamline's Center for Excellence in Urban Teaching.
The National Educator Award recognizes effective teaching, educational accomplishment, motivational skill, and potential for leadership. Winners receive $25,000 from the Milken Family Foundation. |
