MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adults

Introducing Hamline University’s low-residency MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adults. Our first residency began in January, 2007.


Master of Arts in Liberal Studies (MALS)
The MALS program is an interdisciplinary program designed to offer students the opportunity to range freely among academic, artistic, spiritual, and professional issues and ideas.

Master of Fine Arts in Writing (MFA)
The MFA program is Minnesota's first Master of Fine Arts program in creative writing and is distinguished by its interdisciplinary emphasis and its encouragement of multi-genre explorations.

Graduate Liberal Studies offers a variety of opportunities for interested students to participate in their program before application. Sample a course and earn credit that may be applied to your degree, should you apply.
