GLS classes may be taken by admitted degree-seeking stud
ents or sampled by students wanting to try a GLS class prior to admission.
DEGREE PROGRAMS:
MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adults
(low-residency program)
- Two-year MFA degree in Writing for Children and Young Adults
- One-to-one mentoring work for all students with our award-winning faculty
- Semi-annual residencies that build community and commitment to writing excellence
- A beautiful campus setting surrounded by the cultural attractions of the Twin Cities of Saint Paul and Minneapolis
Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing
- Terminal degree for students who wish to pursue careers as writers in any of the creative media, and/or who want to teach writing at the college level
- Interdisciplinary emphasis
- Choose from an array of interdisciplinary electives, including courses in literary publishing
- Join a community of writers and scholars within an intensive, book-driven program of liberal studies
Master of Arts in Liberal Studies
- Offers the serious student opportunities to range freely among academic, spiritual, artistic, and professional issues and ideas
- Extend intellectual and creative resources, discover connections between your learning and professional lives, and respond openly to new ideas
- Explore a variety of disciplines, such as literature, art, philosophy, history, psychology, sociology, and science.
