• Exit Counseling and Repayment

    Exit Counseling is required of all students who borrow Federal loans and are no longer enrolled or enrolled below half-time status. In addition it is required from all students who receive a TEACH Grant and are no longer enrolled.

    Tools for Successful Student Loan Repayment

    Your loan provider(s) will contact you regarding repayment. Hamline has compiled a list of excellent resources designed to help you manage and successfully repay your student loan debt:

    • Financial Awareness Counseling – This interactive site from the U.S. Department of Education provides tools and information to help you understand your financial aid and assist you in managing your finances.
    • National Student Loan Database System (NSLDS) - NSLDS is the U.S. Department of Education's central database for student aid. NSLDS can help you keep track of all the federal financial aid you have received in your lifetime.
    • StudentLoans.gov – This site your source for information from the U.S. Department of Education about how to manage your student loans.
    • Repayment Plans & Calculators – The U.S. Department of Education offers information and calculators about the different loan repayment options that are available to you.
