    MMegan Atwood CWP adjunct facultyegan Atwood has her MFA in Writing (for children and young adults) from Hamline University. She has written 14 books for children; from picture books to young adult books. Her book, Last Desserts (Darby Creek Press), was awarded a Reluctant Reader pick from YALSA (Young Adult Library Services Association) and her most recent series, The Paranormalists (Darby Creek Press), has just been released. She has also published short stories and flash fiction for adults in Lines + Stars and 5x5 literary magazines.

    She is a Minnesota State Arts Board panelist for prose and teaches and presents at the Loft Literary Center. She created the young adult imprint, Flux,  through Llewellyn Publications and worked as an acquiring editor there, as well as a literary agent through Firebrand Literary Agency (now defunct). She has been part of the literary landscape of Minnesota, particularly in the children's book arena, for over ten years now. Most importantly, however, she has an elderly, disdainful cat she must cater to everyday.
