Instructor - Modern Languages
Peter M. Morales is a Spanish instructor in the Modern Languages department. He was born and raised in Guatemala, Central America and is a practicing artist. He brings his artistic sensibility to language instruction. He has received numerous fellowships and grants from organizations such as the Jerome Foundation and the Minnesota State Arts Board to pursue community-based art projects.
He received his MA from the University of Minnesota, and his BA from Ripon College.
Students taking a class with Professor Morales will gain the confidence to put their linguistic knowledge to use in real-world situations while refining and expanding their Spanish language skills.
"I want students to expand their understanding of themselves, the world around them and what they are capable of through the adventure of language acquisition. Students will need to venture beyond their comfort range and my task is that they experience success while doing so."
