Peter Farstad has worked and volunteered in the nonprofit sector for more than thirty years. Since 2001 Peter has served as Chief Administrative Officer of LifeSource, the organization serving the mission of organ and tissue donation for transplantation in Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota. He earned a bachelor of science in management from Canisius College, Buffalo, NY and an MBA from the University of St. Thomas, Minneapolis, MN. Peter is a Board Member & Secretary / Treasurer of LifeLogics, Inc., Baltimore, MD, a nonprofit corporation which builds and maintains data solutions for the organ and tissue procurement community. He also serves as Secretary/Treasurer of the Association of Organ Procurement Organizations, Inc., (AOPO) located in Vienna, VA and is an active member of its Financial Management Council. Peter is active in the Twin Cities nonprofit community serving as a Board Member of Walker Methodist Foundation and as a member of the Finance Committee of St. Stephen’s Human Service Programs.

Farstad desires to communicate the importance and relevance of the financial management function in nonprofit organizations. His focus is on real-world practical and applicable information gained through decades of financial leadership in nonprofit settings.
