    Kristin Solid most recently worked as a Senior Animation Supervisor at Rhythm and Hues Studios, a Los Angeles based Academy Award winning studio and one of the world's leading producers of animation and visual effects for Hollywood movies and commercial advertising. At Rhythm and Hues, Kristin supervised animation teams on such films as The Hunger Games, Yogi Bear, Alvin and the Chipmunks and Hop. She was also part of Animation Development, which helped expand the capabilities of animation tools and rigs.

    Prior to working at Rhythm and Hues, Kristin worked in Toronto, where supervised the animation on Shane Acker's highly acclaimed animated feature "9." Before that, she worked with other top national and international studios doing high-end animation and visual effects. Included among the studios where she worked were WETA (King Kong), Industrial Light and Magic (Transformers and Pirates of the Caribbean) and Tippett Studios (The Spiderwick Chronicles).

    Kristin Solid is a graduate of St. Olaf College and has a M.F.A. in Animation from the U.C.L.A. School of Theater, Film and Television. 

    Teaching Style

    Students taking a class with Kristin Solid can expect to learn the fundamentals of 2D animation and practice hands-on training.
