Anne McCarthy Dean of the School of Buisness Biography Anne McCarthy joined Hamline in July 2011. She brings 30 years of experience in business and higher education, with specialties in the areas of entrepreneurship, economics, management, and marketing. Prior to joining Hamline, Dr. McCarthy was at the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School where she served as the associate dean of community outreach for academic programs. She joined the business school shortly after its launch in 2007, and was integral to its development. Prior to Johns Hopkins, she served as dean of the Merrick School of Business and professor of management at the University of Baltimore. She served as a faculty member at Colorado State University and at Indiana University. Dr. McCarthy earned her doctorate from Purdue University, her master of business administration from the University of Connecticut, and her bachelor’s degree in economics from Georgetown University.
