Alternate Site
For all commencement ceremonies, Hutton Arena will serve as the alternate location should weather or safety be a concern:

Tickets
Undergraduate ceremony only
Outdoor ceremony
General Seating: Tickets are not required for general seating and there is no limit to the number of guests a graduate may invite.
Accessible Seating Tickets: Students with guests needing accessible seating may reserve tickets for the accessible seating area. There are a limited number of tickets available for this area. Guests will be assisted in this area by our disability services office, as well as event staff members. NOTE: All undergraduate students must sign up at Senior Day to receive tickets. (See "How to sign up for tickets" below.) If a student is unable to attend Senior Day, the student will need to fill out the online Ticket Request Form at the Commencement web site, beginning March 8.
Indoor Ceremony (Alternate Site)
Tickets are required for all seating (general and accessible) in Hutton Arena. Every graduate may have up to two tickets. Only graduates may sign up for these tickets. Ticketing will be enforced for this location. Graduates and families must check the website or call 651-523-5555 the morning of commencement to determine if the ceremony has been moved.
How to sign up for tickets
All students should plan to attend Senior Day and sign up for tickets at that time. If a student is unable to attend Senior Day, they may fill out the online request form, beginning March 8. The deadline to register for tickets is midnight on April 19, 2013. All tickets that were not registered for will be placed in the lottery. The lottery will take place on Monday, April 22. Ticket pick up dates are listed below under "Ticket Distribution."
Ticket Lottery
If more than two tickets are desired, each student may enter the ticket lottery. A random drawing for any unused tickets will be conducted on Monday, April 22. If a student is chosen to receive additional tickets, s/he will receive those tickets on one of the scheduled pick updates. No more than two tickets can be requested via the ticket lottery process.
NOTE: Graduates should indicate on the ticket form in the ticket lottery section if an accessible ticket (for individuals in wheelchairs, motorized scooters, with walkers, crutches, etc.) is requested. If remaining accessible tickets are available and if the student is chosen in the lottery, the student will receive one accessible ticket and one companion ticket for special seating in Hutton Arena.
Ticket Distribution
Tickets will not be mailed. You must pick them up the week of April 29 - May 3, from the Student Administrative Services front desk, East Hall 113 from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m..
Lost Tickets
It is the graduating student's responsibility to make sure that tickets are not lost or misplaced. Lost or misplaced tickets will not be reissued.

Simulcast Locations
If family members or guests do not have tickets for the alternate ceremony site or do not wish to sit in the arena, the ceremonies can be viewed in the following simulcast locations:
- Giddens Alumni Learning Center, room 100E
- Anderson Center
- Anne Simley Theater (only if ceremony is moved to rain site)
