  • Teach For America

Hamline is proud to serve as the license program provider for Teach For America Corps Members in the Twin Cities region. TFA-Twin Cities Corps Members teach full-time for two years in urban public schools while also taking courses at Hamline in order to earn their permanent Minnesota teaching licenses.

To become a TFA Corps Member, you must apply through Teach For America’s national organization; you cannot apply directly to Hamline. TFA’s selective application process begins in late summer and continues through the winter of each academic year.

For all currently enrolled students: Professor Lisa Burton, who has taught courses specifically for TFA Corps Members and students in our graduate and undergraduate programs, is now serving as the Hamline-TFA Liaison for all cohorts. She is available as the main point person if you have concerns, feedback, or questions about your Hamline experience. Professor Burton may be reached at lburton01@hamline.edu. You may also contact the Chair (Dr. Rachel Endo) or Associate Chair (Dr. Bill Lindquist) with concerns, feedback, or questions.
