Licensure Programs
An initial license is for those who already hold a bachelor degree, but wish to earn a state K-12 teaching license (addition of a master’s degree possible).
An additional license can provide new opportunities and options for teachers with a standard teaching license. Meet new challenges with new skills. Add range to your current license or add a specialty area.
Certificate Programs
Coursework is available to teachers, school personnel or other professionals who work with young people, and degree-seeking students. Focus your professional development and acknowledge your proficiency in a topic area. Certificate credits may be applied toward a master's degree program offered at Hamline University. Select coursework is available as doctorate credit.

Graduate-level coursework is available to teachers, school personnel or other professionals who work with young people, and degree-seeking students. You do not have to be admitted to a degree program at Hamline, but you must have completed a bachelor’s degree.
