Hamline's administrative licensure program offers quality instruction that blends theory and practice. A competency-based program integrates Minnesota Department of Education competencies with meaningful, relevant leadership content and skills.
The program also incorporates the School of Education’s conceptual framework for learning in community, knowledge construction, reflective practice, and a commitment to equity and social justice. Hands-on experiences foster growth and confidence in assuming the complex duties required of educational leaders in schools and districts.
Hamline offers a pathway to administrative licensure for K-12 Principals, District Superintendents and Special Education Directors. Program requirements for these licenses meet MN Rule 3512. Hamline's administrative licensure programs are licensure only, and may be applied toward a doctorate in education (Ed.D).
