Given the changing demographics of our classrooms, the emphasis on results-based education, and the need for leaders who are skilled in working with a variety of stakeholders, people with vision and exceptional skills are crucial to lead today's schools.

    With Hamline's Administrative Licensure program, you will:

    • Grow your foundational knowledge through quality instruction that blends theory and practice.
    • Expand your leadership skills through meaningful and relevant curriculum.
    • Develop--through hands-on experiences--the confidences in assuming the complex duties required of education leaders in today's schools and districts.
    • Broaden the scope of your leadership skills by adding an additional Administrative License.

    Principal, Superintendent and Director of Special Education licenses

    24 required credits, 0-6 elective credits

    Hamline offers a pathway to administrative licensure for K-12 Principals, District Superintendents and Special Education Directors. Program requirements for these licenses meet MN Rule 3512.  Hamline's administrative licensure programs are licensure only, and may be applied toward Hamline's doctorate in education (Ed.D).
