  • Adult Education Certification

Recognizing that teaching adults is different than teaching children, Hamline has a growing number of options to meet the pre-service and professional development needs of teachers of adult learners, including the nationally recognized Teaching English as a Foreign Language certificate the Adult ESL certificate.

In any of our adult education programs, you will:

    • Work with caring faculty who possess a broad range of teaching experiences and who will model the latest understanding of best practice in teaching adult learners.
    • Begin your path toward an advanced degree or additional certification. Credits earned with certificates or special ATLAS professional development opportunities may be applied to other certificates or master’s degrees.
    • Become a more confident, reflective practitioner equipped with the tools you need to effectively teach adult learners.
