K-12 Licenses: Vocal Music
Students interested in earning a K-12 teaching license in vocal music are advised to declare a music major in performance and take general education classes offered by the School of Education. The remaining State of Minnesota requirements for licensure are completed at the College of St. Catherine, not at Hamline University. Students will graduate from Hamline University and complete student teaching as a post-baccalaureate candidate at St. Catherine's.
All teaching candidates are advised that completion of the program within a four-year time frame requires careful planning. If you seek a license to teach, please seek early advising from the School of Education to plan your program.
