This year's Adult ESL Institute (formerly called ESL Workshop) will feature sessions for teachers of low- to advanced-level learners, for new and experienced teachers, and for administrators/supervisors, as well as offering technology sessions.
Sessions to include:

- Working with Low-Literacy Learners
- Academic Listening & Speaking
- Reading & Note-Taking Strategies for Advanced-Level Learners
- Creating Lessons Using TESOL Standards
- Working with Multi-Level Classes

Intended Audience: ESL teachers and coordinators in Adult Basic Education and EL/Civics Programs. The number of slots available is again expanded to 120 this year!

Graduate Credit:
Attend the workshop and you’ll have the opportunity to earn 1 semester graduate credit from Hamline!
- Registration: You will need to fill out a registration form when you arrive at the workshop.
- Cost for graduate credit: $115 - due upon registration (make check payable to Hamline University)
- Coursework: To earn the graduate credit you will be required to complete assignments related to the content of the ESL Workshop, under the direction of Assistant Professor Kimberly Johnson. Any questions should be addressed to Kimberly at 651-523-2646.
