Commencement Weekend 2017 Saturday, May 20 Baccalaureate Multi-Faith Service, 9 a.m. in Hamline Church Undergraduate Commencement Ceremony, 11 a.m. at Old Main Mall Graduate Commencement Ceremony, 3 p.m. at Old Main Mall Commencement is a day of celebration at Hamline University. It is the culmination of our students’ experiences here and of their extraordinary efforts in the pursuit of knowledge. It is our opportunity to recognize them for their years of hard work, as well as all those who have supported and encouraged them to achieve their goals. Our alumni tell us that their years at Hamline were some of the most important years of their lives. For many, it was here that they learned to think critically, to challenge their own beliefs, to respect and celebrate their unique talents, and to appreciate the differences between themselves and others. They cherish fond memories of professors who enlightened and encouraged them, and classmates who became lifelong friends. We know our graduates will do well. The knowledge, skills, and values they acquired here will serve them as they go forward to be successful and make a difference in their communities. Hamline alumni serve in important leadership roles where they live and work. We look forward to seeing our 2016 graduates make their own unique mark upon the world.
