    Minor

An alternative for nonmajors is the minor in urban studies. This minor has been prepared for students majoring in another discipline who wish to learn more about their urban environment or who wish to have additional urban-related coursework that may enhance their prospects for employment or entrance into graduate school.

The minor in urban studies consists of six courses.

    Two required courses:

PSCI 3690 - Politics of Urban and Metropolitan America

    SOC 3440 - Urban Sociology

    Four Additional Elective Courses:

Four electives are to be chosen from among the courses listed in the description of the urban studies major or substitute courses approved by the urban studies co-directors.
