The Lecture Pass For those who wish to participate in some or all of the lectures, a Lecture Pass is available for a small fee. Full and half passes are available. How much does the lecture pass cost?The cost for the full pass is $500; half pass is $250. A 10% discount is applied for members of Children's Literature Network, Minnesota Reading Association, the Loft Literary Center and for MFAC/MFA program alum. How many lectures can I attend during the residency?For a Full Pass, you can come to as many or as few lectures as you are able to. There are also some "seminars" and "presentations" open to you; however, only the events listed on the Lecture Pass Schedule are open to Lecture Pass holders. Half Pass holders may come to five days worth of events from the Lecture Pass Schedule. All readings are free and open to the public, including Lecture Pass holders. Can I get credit for the Lecture Pass?No academic credit is offered for Lecture Pass attendees. How many times can I sign up for a lecture pass?You may sign up for the lecture pass as many times as you please, provided space is available. There might be some residencies for which a Lecture Pass will not be available.When should I register?Register as soon as you can. Space is limited and it is essential that those interested in the Lecture Pass sign up ahead of time. We cannot guarantee that passes will be available once the residency begins.How do I check in to receive my Lecture Pass?After your Lecture Pass registration has been processed, you will receive information regarding check-in via e-mail. Please make sure to provide a current e-mail address that you check often, as this will the main method of communication. What if the schedule changes?Lecture Pass holders (those already registered) should remember to check their e-mail accounts for schedule changes up until the start of the residency. After the first day of the residency, some times and/or locations may change. Announcements are typically made regarding schedule changes in the first few minutes of lectures or presentations. Also, feel free to check in with other students or staff regarding about schedule changes. How do I find the classroom?The Hamline campus map is available online- check for the link to "Map and Directions" along the bottom of every page.
