    A Literary Annual from Hamline University

    Founded in 1998, Water~Stone Review has earned a place in the literary marketplace as a magazine of high literary and design quality. It continues to serve its purpose as an invaluable teaching tool for students and has furthered the reputation of Hamline’s MFA program.

    The review publishes work in all genres by emerging, mid-career, and well-established writers. It also publishes essay reviews and writers’ interviews. Features include an annual contest (i.e., the Jane Kenyon Poetry Prize, the Brenda Ueland Fiction Prize, and the Judith Kitchen Creative Nonfiction Prize) and visual art curated by students at the Minneapolis College of Art & Design.
