    Service Learning

Growing out of Hamline University's vision to be "locally engaged and globally connected,"  the Legal Studies Department strives to cultivate the civic knowledge, skills and values that will best equip students to take meaningful civic action and create sustainable social change. Within their coursework, legal studies students have volunteered as legislative and court monitors, research assistants,  tennant advocates, and legal assistants with a variety of local non-profit agencies.
