The Certificate in International Journalism program enables students with advanced language skills and majors in global studies, area studies, modern languages, English, communication studies, history, anthropology, and other majors to supplement their programs with preparation in international journalism. The certificate program combines introductory courses in journalism and media studies with advanced seminars, internships, and a capstone media project where students can apply their international expertise to the study and practice of journalism.
The Certificate in International Journalism at Hamline University is a very competitive program. Applications are received from all parts of the world. To maintain CIJ’s high academic standards, applicants must meet the following criteria.
