Prospective Students Current and New Students Alumni Visitors

Welcome to the College of Liberal Arts
Summer School program

We offer courses in the arts, humanities, education, social sciences, and natural sciences.  Whether you are a current Hamline student, a prospective student interested in coming to Hamline, or just someone who wants some new learning experiences, we invite you to peruse our offerings and to take courses with us this summer.  Summer is a great time to experiment with some new classes, fill in missing Hamline Plan letters or gaps in your major or minor, or concentrate on a single course without having to worry about other classes.

Many of our most popular classes are available in the summer, and most provide general education (Hamline Plan) credit, with few or no prerequisites.  Some classes can be taken through a personalized system of instruction (PSI) featuring instructional units that you complete at your own pace.  You also may be able to focus on a topic of your own choosing through independent study, as many faculty members are available to supervise independent projects in the summer.

Please explore this Summer School website and return to it often; we are always revising and updating it with the latest information on courses and policies.  If you are a current Hamline student, you can register through the usual Piperline process.  If you are not a Hamline student, download the Registration Form on this site and mail it to us.  Before you register, make sure to review carefully the registration policies and the tuition and fee schedule.  We hope to see you at Hamline this summer.
