Back Stage Tour

The Box Office has complete printing and production facilities and produces the posters, programs, tickets and mailers for each show.

Just stage right of the theatre the Scene Shop has a large open working area. All standard woodworking and metal working tools are available. There is also a large 24'-0" high by 48'-0" long moving paint frame for creating large drops. Large scenic unit can be rolled onstage through the tall doors you can see in the right hand side of this picture.

The Makeup Room has seats for 20 with individual mirrors and lights. Separate storage doors are provided for the actor's supplies. Adjacent to this space are separate dressing rooms for men and women. Each dressing room is equipped with mirrors, lockers, costume racks and showers.

The Costume Shop is equipped with large cork topped cutting tables, a number of sewing machines as well as sergers, a leather machine and an industrial sewing machine. The space is also equipped with a washer/drier combination and a large dye vat in a separate work room.

Across the hall from the Costume Shop is Costume Storage. All of our costume stock is housed in this area. Included in the collection are a number of historic garments which are used in research.

The Light Shop provides working space for the technicians who prepare the lighting instruments and all the special effects that are needed for a production. A part of the instrument inventory is stored here the rest is stored on racks at the back of the theatre on the catwalk level.
