Carpentry

Seating

  • 289 seats with three wheelchair positions.
  • Seating can be expanded to 300 by adding temporary seats.

  • Grid Height From deck to bottom of grid is 65'-0"
  • Effective flying height is 50'-0"
  • Orchestra Pit 10'-9" at center arcs to 7'-3" at ends. 34'-0" in length. Flexible height adjustment of manually moved sections. To drop the complete pit to "orchestra level" takes a crew of 4 about four hours.
  • Stage Height 2'-6" above the house floor.

Stage Floor

  • Black vinyl floor laid on a plywood subfloor that rests on resilient foam blocks.
  • Floor is in good condition.
  • Only finish nails or drywall screws #8 or smaller may be used on the floor.

House Drapery

  • House Curtain magenta velour traveller/guillotine combination at the Plaster Line. Manual lift lines and traveller operation line located stage left.
  • Legs 4 sets of black velour 26'-0" high and 12'-0" wide. 100% fullness.
  • Borders 4 black velour borders 12'0" high and 56'-0" long. 100% fullness
  • Full Stage 3 black velour 26'-0" high and 56'-0" wide. (2 30'-0" panels each with center overlap) On traveller tracks. One set is assigned to line 36 as upstage/downstage masking and does not move.
  • Cyclorama - 1 white Gerrits "pro Cyc" 26'-0" high and 55'-0" wide.

Line Set Data

  • Line Plot - see groundplan.
  • Working Height of Battens - Low trim is 3'-6".
  • Battens 36 battens each 56'-0" long. 1 1/2" thick wall pipe.
  • Counterweight System Single purchase system with pinrail located stage left.
  • Arbor capacity 500 lbs.
  • Available Weight over 2000 lbs available.
  • Loading Gallery Access is stage left up a spiral staircase. Gallery is 45'-0" above the stage floor.

Support Areas

  • Crossover is behind the cyclorama with a 4'-0" wide passage or through the basement hallway.
  • Scene Shop is 50'-0" long, 36'-0" wide and 30'-0" high.
  • Storage. On stage storage is available stage right for props and small items. Area can be locked but should not be considered secure for valuable item storage.
  • Load-In Door Enters into the Scene Shop from Taylor Avenue. The load-in door is 7'-8" tall and 10'-0" wide. The loading area is a ground level so a power lift gate is recommended for heavy units. No ramp is available.
