Hamline's Academic Program in Social Justice is an expression of the University's mission to prepare students for service and leadership. Its curriculum focuses on analysis of social problems and exploration of strategies and structures that can be used to address those problems. The program is interdisciplinary, drawing on the strengths of a wide variety of academic disciplines. It includes both classroom work and field experience, and is designed to provide students with information and skills conducive to an ongoing concern for social justice in many different career paths, including legislative advocacy, education, social work, law and religious service.
