Born and raised in Miami, Florida, Robin Hornik Parritz, PhD, graduated from Brandeis University. She earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, with a supporting program in Child Development, from the University of Minnesota in 1989.
Robin has been at Hamline since 1992. Her research and clinical areas of interest are in emotional development and emotional competence, stress-and- coping in childhood, and developmental psychopathology. Her Hamline courses include Theories of Personality, Abnormal Psychology, Theories of Psychotherapy, Disorders of Childhood, and Clinical Psychology.
Robin is married to Jon Parritz, and has three sons, Ari, Adam and Jesse. Hopelessly enthralled with mystery novels, the Sunday New York Times, and country music, Robin is also a devoted fan of the Miami Dolphins.
