Chen Pao Chou is an ABD in Political Science from Kent State University. He received his master’s degree in Public and International Affairs from the University of Pittsburgh in 1996. He comes to Hamline after teaching at Mount Union College. In addition to teaching World Politics, he teaches courses on Comparative Politics, East Asian Politics, International Political Economy, Political Institutions, and Political Violence.
Mr. Chou’s research interests focus on East Asia, especially political development in China, South Korea, and Taiwan. He is the author of the book, The Study of the Post-War ROC’s Constitution and of an e-book chapter Democracy and Globalization. He has traveled in several countries in East and South East Asia, Europe, and has also lived in Japan. His hobbies include travel, cooking, and movies.
