LEAD (Leadership, Education, and Development) is a requirement in the Hamline Plan designed to foster thoughtful, critical and knowledgeable leaders who can meet the challenges of a complex world. To fulfill the LEAD requirement each student will participate in a faculty-supervised activity that connects the academic work of a liberal arts education to local, regional and international communities. A key aspect of LEAD is to put students in contexts where they can make connections between theory and practice and bring their liberal arts education into settings outside the classroom.
