Connect theory to practice in a variety of ways -- through synthesis of disciplinary skills in the senior seminar, methods of teaching, and practical work experience connected to the field.

Research Methodology
Practice extensive, independent skills. Craft and document a professional essay.

Oral Presentations
Lead discussions on critical, theoretical, textual issues. Make formal presentations.
Independent Work
Develop and produce an article length essay within the context of a disciplinary community.
Peer Groups
Develop, understand, and contribute to student learning communities.
Close Reading
Read and make connections between texts, and across genres and modes of presentation with less frequent assistance.

Editing and Revising
Recognize that editing and revising abilities are central to the practices in this discipline. Students work independently and are supported by peer group feedback.

Theoretical Practice
