Graduate Assistant Responsibilities The Student Activities Graduate Assistant is part of the Office of Student Leadership and Activities and the Division of Student Affairs. This person will be a collaborative member of Student Activities Staff assisting with the development of projects throughout the Student Activities Office. Responsibilities will include: Assist in providing leadership and supervision of the Student Activities Program Board including providing support for program planning, implementation, event promotion, risk management and compliance with university policies and procedures. Supervise events and/or facilities as assigned to insure compliance with university policies and procedures. Assist with the recruitment, selection, training, and supervision of Student Activities Program Assistants. Coordinate on-going training and development for Programming Board Assistants. Promote student involvement in campus programs. Develop and implement assessment outcomes for Student Activities Program Board, including collecting and compiling data from Programming Board events. Participate in staff development programs for the Student Activities Office and Division of Student Affairs to enhance personal and professional development. Participate in departmental and divisional planning and evaluation process. Serve as an active member of the Student Activities Office, attend meetings and support and contribute to department goals and initiatives. Qualifications Qualified candidates will be newly enrolled in The Hamline MBA program and also must have a flexible schedule (some nights and weekends required). Strong candidates will posses administrative skills, demonstrated past leadership experience, and an understanding of the value of involvement in co-curricular activities. We seek an energetic and organized individual who is highly committed to the overall student experience, who exhibits an understanding of a multicultural community, and who enjoys the cross-campus collaborative experience of a small college environment.
