MBA/Public Administration Dual Degree Program
The Hamline University Dual Degree Program in Business Administration and Public Administration allows you to save time and money while completing two graduate degree programs: Master in Business Administration and Master in Public Administration.
The Dual Degree Program in Business Administration and Public Administration helps working professionals develop the core competencies they need to succeed and lead in today's diverse government and business environments. Who is the Program for? The Dual Degree Program in Business Administration and Public Administration is for professionals interested in understanding the intersections of the government and business sectors. Program Requirements Students in the program complete 8 Public Administration core courses and then take 3 MBA Module Courses. Coursework is completed with an additional 10 electives that can come from MBA or Public Adminstration courses.

- Administrative Law & Processes

MBA Module:
- Managing & Leveraging Organizational Finances & Operations

Additional Program Requirements:
- Students will need to have an undergraduate course in accounting, economics, and statistics or complete pre-requisites before starting the MBA portion of the program. The economics requirement will need to be completed before taking Public Fiscal Management.
- For students with limited government and/or business sector experience: Completion of an Internship (GPA 8494).
Curriculum The program curriculum provides students an understanding of political and legal institutions and processes; economic and social organizations and processes; critical and reflective analysis; global awareness; quantitative reasoning and analysis; strategic planning; ethical and moral dilemmas in both government and business sectors.
