    Navigating the professional landscape while in school can be challenging, but you do not have to do it alone. Hamline School of Business career management services offer guidance with academic development, career direction, and necessary skillsets, all so you can advance confidently within your chosen field. 

    Services provided include:

    • Individual development planning. Discover and focus on your personal development plan in order to more precisely organize your next steps. 
    • Individual career planning. Work with a mentor to strategize career goals and the actions necessary to achieve them. 
    • Workshops. Attend events and participate in conversations that will help develop the skillsets necessary to stand out in your chosen field. 
    • Panels. Meet with recruiters and alumni to discuss the qualities an ideal candidate possesses and how your professional peers have encompassed those qualities. 
    • Job and internship postings. Access information about open opportunities.

    At Fall Orientation (August 2016), our new grad students started Individual Development Plans (IDP) to better leverage your educational efforts for your career development. If you want to continue accelerating your development, join HSB’s Graduate Students’ Career Management Advisor Dr. Kay Lillig Cotter for a lively, interactive workshop.

    MN Private Colleges' Job and Internship Fair
    Hamline students are invited to attend the Minnesota Private Colleges' Job and Internship Fair. The fair will include consultants from major employers. Students are encouraged to come and learn about the varied world of consulting- the major employers, what the work is like, and the qualifications. There will be interactive sessions including round tables where students are encouraged to connect and ask questions.

    Where: Room M101 A/B Minneapolis Convention Center (the Career Development Center will be providing free transportation from Hamline)
