About the School of Business
At the Hamline School of Business, our mission is to provide students with a truly innovative approach to business education.
Like many business schools, we offer a robust curriculum; small class sizes; and a vibrant, engaged community of faculty, students, and alumni. We also provide a variety of graduate and undergraduate degrees and have close ties to the Twin Cities-area business community.
But while those are all important and key elements of our institution, they’re only the beginning. What really distinguishes Hamline is our emphasis on teaching business fundamentals in the broader context of a classic liberal education. Our graduates excel in today’s fast-paced economy because they are grounded in practical knowledge and have a broad understanding of the world. They know how to find creative solutions, encourage collaboration, and make ethical and strategically sound decisions. In short, they know how to lead.
We encourage you to review our site. Meet some of our students and faculty. Explore our Undergraduate Majors in Business and Economics. Learn about in our Graduate Degrees—the MBA, the Master in Nonprofit Management, and the Master and Doctorate in Public Administration. Check out our dual degree programs that offer graduate training across sectors and disciplines. Find out about our unique joint degree program with the Hamline School of Law.
The more you see, the more you’ll understand that, at Hamline, it’s more than business as usual. It’s Business as Exceptional.
