Literature Resource Center This database includes both full text reference books and full text journal articles. "Rich in biographical, bibliographical, and critical content, the Literature Resource Center is the premier Internet resource for information on literary figures from all time periods writing in such genres as fiction, nonfiction, poetry, drama, history, journalism, and more. These searches are available: Author Search. Enables the user to find biographies, bibliographies, and full-text criticism of an author's works and literary career. Title Search. Enables the user to locate a reference to a work of literature within author biographies, bibliographies, critical essays, and work overviews. Keyword Search. Enables the user to conduct a broad search against targeted fields in each document. Advanced Search. Enables the user to design a more powerful search using such criteria as Author Name, Title, Critic name, Keyword, and Full Text. Authors by Type Search. Enables the user to identify an author or list of authors using a variety of classifications, including genre, literary movement/time period, nationality, ethnicity, gender, date of birth and/or death. Literary-Historical Timeline Search. Enables the user to target a specific date range for literary figures, movements, and historical events. Merriam-Webster's Encyclopedia of Literature Search. Enables the user to find entries for authors, works, literary landmarks, literary and critical terms, mythological and folkloric figures, fictional characters, literary movements and prizes from the entire 10,000-plus-term resource."
Education Full Text Dates Covered:  Full Text:  Partial Description:  Includes articles on literature for children and young adults.  In addition to information on authors, books, genres, etc., it also includes articles on the use of this literature in the classroom.
Essay and General Literature Index Dates Covered: 1900-2000 Shelved in Reference: AI3 .E78 Description: Indexes some 3,800 essays from over 300 collections and anthologies each year.
JSTOR Dates Covered: Indexing begins with first issue/first volume of each title indexed. Current 3-5 years of each title not included.  Some titles go back to the 19th century. Full Text:  Yes Description: JSTOR contains a moving wall of back issues of 522 journals in full-text format. Generally the last 3-5 years of publication of each title are NOT included in this index. MLA International Bibliography Plus Modern Language Association - CSA Dates Covered: 1923 - present Full Text: No Description: This database is from the Modern Language Association and is useful for students of English, and Languages and Literature. It contains over 1.7 million citations to materials in books, essay collections, working papers, proceedings, dissertations, and bibliographies. GenderWatch Dates Covered: 1970-present Full Text: Yes Description: This index is a full text database comprised of 175 periodicals and other publications that focus on the impact of gender across a broad spectrum of subject areas. GenderWatch supports programs in business, education, literature and the arts, health sciences, history, political science, public policy, sociology and contemporary culture, gender and women's studies and more. Publications include academic and scholarly journals, magazines, newspapers, newsletters, regional publications, books, booklets and pamphlets, conference proceedings, and government, n-g-o and special reports. Visual Resources Database Full Text: Partial Description: This database covers photographs, artwork, posters, fine art and selected images from the Minnesota Historical Society collections. Material represents the life, leisure, landscapes and occupations of Minnesotans from the pre-territorial period to the present.
