  • Information for Faculty

Bush Library has assembled the following resources, guides, and learning opportunities for faculty at Hamline.

    Resources

Using Library Resources in the Classroom

    Library Liaisons

One of the keys to getting the most out of Bush Library is to get to know your library liaison.  Every department and school on campus has a librarian assigned who will assist with collection-building and training in support of students' work in your courses.

    Digital Collections

Bush Library now offers departments and programs a stable, web-based digital repository. Digitized collections can provide significant added value to support teaching, learning and scholarly research while also highlighting Hamline’s unique intellectual or archival property.

    Ordering Materials

Each academic department and program receives a portion of the library's funds for new materials that support your program's curriculum.

    Faculty Learning Opportunities

    Individual Appointment

If you would like to know more about the library's resources or services, contact your library liaison for an appointment. We can:

    • Help identify appropriate resources for your courses.
    • Help you get the most out of our databases.
    • Create a library guide for your course to bring our resources and your students together.
    • Help you link to online library resources from your Blackboard course

    Workshops

Schedule a session for your department or program. Library resources are continually updated.  A workshop on new resources or field-specific resources provides an opportunity to more about these resources and how they can be integrated into course work. Contact your library liaison if you are interested in scheduling a workshop. Watch the CTL events schedule for more library- and research-related workshops.
