Megawati to host meeting with party leaders
JAKARTA (JP): Vice President Megawati Soekarnoputri will host a
meeting with party leaders at her Central Jakarta residence Sunday
morning.
"May be all party leaders (will attend the breakfastgathering), except
the National Awakening Party (PKB)," deputy secretary general of the
Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI Perjuangan) Agnita
Singadekane said Saturday night.
She said Megawati had not made any comment regarding the latest
development in the country's political situation, including President
Abdurrahman Wahid's refusal to attend the MPR special session on
Monday.
"Ibu Megawati will definitely attend the MPR special session in her
capacity as vice president," Agnita said as quoted by Antara.
